Abstract:   (9663 Views)
A lack of resources in health economics is the most important factor in attending efficacy and appropriate use of facilities available with a required output in all management areas of health and treatment. Among them, hospitals as one of the most costly sections in healthcare sector devote a large portion of Gross Domestic Product to themselves and need great attention. Doing some actions to prevent or reduce destroying resources, devoted to this sector of health care in order to provide more services, develop, access and improve the quality of hospital services, necessitates some comparisons on the ratio of outputs to inputs to improve the efficiency and usefulness of hospitals. In most of studies on hospital efficiency, the method of analysis of ratios is used. The level of efficiency is showed by a fraction its numerator will be output and the denominator will be input. As this method is used to measure the efficiency between one input and one output, it has some limitations when used with several inputs and outputs. In hospital, several inputs and outputs exist simultaneously, so the use of this method is lonely not responding.
