مقدمه: امروزه شبکه های اجتماعی فرصت خوبی برای خود مراقبتی فراهم کرده است. مطالعه حاضر با هدف شناخت میزان تأثیر و رابطه شبکه های اجتماعی مجازی بر خود مراقبتی کاربران نسبت به کووید-19 و دستیابی به مدل معادلات ساختاری انجام‌شده است.
روش ­ها: پژوهش حاضر از نوع کاربردی بود که با روش توصیفی- تحلیلی انجام شد. ابزار سنجش، پرسشنامه برخط مستخرج از الگوی خود مراقبتی اورم 2011 (همراه با جرح‌وتعدیل با توجه به اهداف پژوهش) بود. نمونه پژوهش شامل 662 نفر از کاربران شبکه های اجتماعی (واتساپ، اینستاگرام و تلگرام) استان هرمزگان بود که به شیوه نمونه گیری در دسترس انتخاب شدند. برای تحلیل و مدل‌سازی از نرم‌افزار SPSS وAmos  استفاده شد.
یافته ­ها: نتایج پژوهش رابطه معنی دار و مستقیم را بین متغیرهای مستقل حضور و تعامل در شبکه و گرایش کاربر به نوع شبکه با متغیر وابسته خود مراقبتی نسبت به کووید-19 نشان داده است (0009/0 p). همچنین، 45 درصد از تغییرات متغیر خود مراقبتی توسط مجموعه‌ای از شاخص‌های حضور و تعامل در شبکه‌های اجتماعی پوشش داده‌شده است. مدل معادلات ساختاری نشان داد در متغیر خود مراقبتی بُعد حمایت روانی با ضریب استاندارد 99/0، بیشترین و بُعد آگاهی و توجه به تأثیرات و نتایج کووید-19 با ضریب استاندارد 95/0 کمترین تأثیر را از متغیرهای حضور و تعامل در شبکه و گرایش کاربر به نوع شبکه داشته است.
نتیجه‌گیری: از آنجائی که شبکه‌های اجتماعی توانسته بر خود مراقبتی کاربران مؤثر باشد مسئولان سلامت و مراکز کنترل و پیشگیری از بیماری می‌توانند از پتانسیل‌های شبکه‌های اجتماعی در امر خود مراقبتی استفاده نمایند.
