Ethical Considerations
Compliance with ethical guidelines
This journal is committed to the principal of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and follows the guidelines mentioned in the Recommendations for the Conduct, Reporting, Editing and Publication of Scholarly Work in Medical Journals issued by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) (http://www.icmje.org). Each author should meet all criteria (1- 5) that recommended by the ICMJE, as the following conditions:
  1. Substantial contributions to the conception or design of the work; or the acquisition, analysis, or interpretation of data for the work;
  2. Drafting the work or revising it critically for important intellectual content;
  3. Final approval of the version to be published;
  4. Agreement to be accountable for all aspects of the work in ensuring that questions related to the accuracy or integrity of any part of the work are appropriately investigated and resolved.
  5. In all articles extracted from the research, the code of ethics should be mentioned.

Ethical requirements and responsibilities
For the editors
The editor makes the final decision to accept or reject papers with respect to the content. The editor reserves the right to reject articles categorized as unsuitable for publication or beyond the scope of the journal.
- Reviewers' and authors' identities are kept confidential.
All submissions are confidential, and they are not revealed to anyone other than the reviewers and editorial staff.
 
For authors
- Upon submission, author(s) should certify that neither the submitted manuscript nor another one with substantially similar content under their authorship has been published in any language or being considered for publication elsewhere.
- The integrity of the work as a whole should be guaranteed by author(s), from inception to published article.
- The author(s) should guarantee the availability of data in case they are needed.
- Author(s) must confirm that the manuscript meets the ethical standards for authors and co-authors; otherwise, the article will be rejected.
- Author(s) must be accountable for individuals or organizations mentioned in the acknowledgement section.
- Researches involving human subjects, human material, or human data should include a statement that the studies were conducted in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki and approved by an appropriate ethics committee. If exemption from formal ethics review is granted, the author should provide detailed information detailed in the manuscript (including the name of ethics committee that granted the exemption). Authors are required to obtain ethics committee’s approval and informed patient consent for any experimental use of a novel procedure or tool.
- In case of using unpublished observations of others, all relevant permissions must be obtained by the author(s) and stated in the text. The names of original author(s) should be declared. Also, permission must be obtained to reproduce or adapt any figures or tables that have been published previously and declared in the legend/footnote.
For reviewers
- Reviewers are required to keep manuscripts and their information confidential.
- They must not use the content of a manuscript before its publication for their personal interests.
- The reviewers' comments should be constructive, honest, and polite.
- Reviewers should declare their conflicts of interest and decline review if a conflict exists.
