Abstract:   (59 Views)
Introduction: The selection of appropriate resources for bibliotherapy interventions is critical to ensure their therapeutic effectiveness. However, despite continued academic efforts to introduce appropriate resources or criteria for selecting resources, there remains a lack of clearly defined and documented criteria for selecting appropriate resources for bibliotherapy. The study aims to identify content and appearance criteria, and the selection process involved in bibliotherapy interventions.
Methods: This systematized review involved comprehensive searches across databases including PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, Embase, Cochrane, ProQuest, LISTA, Magiran, SID, Irandoc, Noormags, Sivilica, and Elmnet. A two-stage screening process (title/abstract review and full-text evaluation), resulted in the selection of 31 studies that met the predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria for in-depth analysis. Data was extracted using a predefined template, synthesized and categorized, and then presented in narrative form and tabulated format.
Results: The content criteria for resource selection included "content", "language and literature", "audience", and "credibility". The appearance criteria for resource selection included: "titles", "form elements", and "appendices". The resource selection process included three key elements: "selection stages", "people involved ", and "selection tools".
Conclusion: The content and appearance criteria identified in this study offer bibliotherapists an evidence-based framework for resource selection, directly enhancing the therapeutic impact of bibliotherapy interventions.
