This rasearch was conducted to survey the "Per - Case Plan" (payment for overworking) and its effect on increasing utilization of medical capacities and efficiency of personnel at Social Security Organization hospitals in Isfahan.
This research was descriptive-inferential in nature. People working in social security Organization hospitals including doctors, paramedical staffs and other employees were considered as the research population.
The data was compiled by questionnaire, interview and observation.
·Per Case Plan" could act as an encouragement to the doctors, paramedical staffs and other employees. It has brought about an increase in the occupation of hospital beds and in the number of surgical operations as well both doctors and paramedical staffs believe that "Per - Case Plan" reduces the average lenght of hospitalization of patients and causes their satisfaction.
Performance of "Per - Case Plan" has indicated a rise in the efficiency of three groups, particularly doctors. However, the population groups believe that medical services are provided very quickly, but the quality of the job, supervision and control are not satisfactory.
In addition, increasing the employee's motivation, narrowing the gap between goverment and private sectors' tariff and providing more control on sevices are factors which can develop the hospital efficiency.
