112 2008-1200 Iran University of Medical Sciences 205 A Study of the Relationship Between Performance of Hospitals Affiliated with Shiraz University of Medical Sciences (S.U.M.S.) and the Patient Satisfaction and Providing Guidelines Baghebaniyan A 1 1 2002 4 11 59 64 10 11 2008 This study compares and determines the relationship between (indexes of) performance at hospitals affiliated with Shiraz University of Medical Sciences and patient satisfaction. This descriptive-analytical study was cross-sectional in nature. The 33 teaching and non-teaching hospitals affiliated with S.U.M.S. comprised the study population. Data were collected by observation, interview, questionnaire. The relationship between (indexes of) performance and patient satisfaction at hospitals affiliated with S.U.M.S. was specified by Data analysis shows that, the relationship between patient satisfaction and bed occupancy rate, average lenght of stay, admission per bed and gross death in hospitals is significant (l-a= 0.95 and P- Value<0.05).
