194 The Study of the "Per-Case Plan" and its Effects on Increasing Utilization of the Treatment Capacities and Efficiency of Personnel at Social Security Organization Hospitals in Isfahan Atafar A Ghasemi Hamami F 1 10 2001 4 10 19 28 10 11 2008 This rasearch was conducted to survey the "Per - Case Plan" (payment for overworking) and its effect on increasing utilization of medical capacities and efficiency of personnel at Social Security Organization hospitals in Isfahan. This research was descriptive-inferential in nature. People working in social security Organization hospitals including doctors, paramedical staffs and other employees were considered as the research population. The data was compiled by questionnaire, interview and observation. ·Per Case Plan" could act as an encouragement to the doctors, paramedical staffs and other employees. It has brought about an increase in the occupation of hospital beds and in the number of surgical operations as well both doctors and paramedical staffs believe that "Per - Case Plan" reduces the average lenght of hospitalization of patients and causes their satisfaction. Performance of "Per - Case Plan" has indicated a rise in the efficiency of three groups, particularly doctors. However, the population groups believe that medical services are provided very quickly, but the quality of the job, supervision and control are not satisfactory. In addition, increasing the employee's motivation, narrowing the gap between goverment and private sectors' tariff and providing more control on sevices are factors which can develop the hospital efficiency. 195 A Comparative Study on the Usage Degree of Vancouver Style and ISO-Standards of the Specialized Doctoral Theses of KUMS Asadi Gorgani F Talebiyan A Aliramezani H 1 10 2001 4 10 29 36 10 11 2008 The objective of this research is to determine and compare the degree of the usage of Vancouver style and ISO Standards on the specialized doctoral theses of Kerman University of Medical Sciences. On the other hand procen is not usually apparent. Educational authorities believe that one of the most important steps that could improve quality is documenting teaching progress so that evaluation comes as a documenting device. We think, the existing evaluation methods are not as efficient as they should be and could not gain the goals of evaluation. So we conducted a descriptive, retrospective study? Which was held in all faculties of IUMS which had been evaluated by students, educational department heads and the teachers themselves during 1998-2000. The findings show that although the results of 1999 evaluation were presented to the faculty members there were no significant changes in the 2000s' evaluation. This means that the existing assessment methods have little value in teaching improvement. 198 Patient Satisfaction, Cost of Bed-Day and Lenght of Stay Among CCUs of General Hospitals of Tehran, 1998-99 Faraji Khiyavi F 1 10 2001 4 10 51 58 10 11 2008 This research deals with patient satisfaction (P.S), cost of bed day (CB.D) and average lenght of stay (AL.O.S) among CCUs of general hospitals of Tehran, 1998-99. This cross-sectional descriptive analytic research was performed in CCUs of general hospitals of Tehran, with eight CCU beds or more. A questionnaire was used for data collection. There were no significant differences between the private and public sectors in terms of AL.O.S., P.S., number of heart specialists, turn-over rate and mortality rates. However, a significant difference was observed in causes of admission and health insurance. Furthermore, the CB.D. and nursing care hours in public hospitals were lower and higher than the private ones, respectively. There was a positive but not strong correlation between patients satisfaction and number of heart specialists. Average CB.D. was estimated 290,100 Rls. in Tehran, which was influenced by hospital's ownerShip, nursing care hours per bed and the disease. It was indicated that AL.O.S. was influenced by the disease. Moreover, every ten years of higher age added 0.4 P.S was influenced by the number of heart specialists. CB.D., was in proportion with nursing care hours, ownership of hospital and the disease type. Moreover, AL.O.S. was influenced by patient characteristics (age) and the disease type.
