Considering disclosed standards of Ministry of health and medical education, five public-educational hospitals in a descriptive-analytical cross-sectional study have been investigated with a comparative perspective, demonstrating some applied results. Variables include: inactive day bed, active day bed, the ratio of bed activity (%), number of inpatients, all day beds in 365 days, day bed in use, all hospitalized days, percent of bed in use, bed turnover rate, and days of hospitalization on average. Pabon-lasso graph was used in order to easily and rapidly compare the hospitals in their performances. Internal specifications of hospitals have been considered in this method, their variables are then compared and significant points have been analyzed. Hospitals are effective in the balanced dissemination of health and treatment cares in all networks. However, their roles is not appropriately determined in health and treatment networks in developing countries and treatment centers with short-term treatments and hospitalization in these countries, almost centralized, secluded, and out of reference network have devoted most of health and treatment costs to themselves. In the first section of this paper, we have tried to represent the outstanding points and explicit problems available in the outcome of hospitalization bed services and its incompatibility with the needs of societies under the title "what it is". In the second section we have tried to find ways out of this problem under the title "what should be". The conclusion section will emphasize the necessity of reevaluation of internal organization of these centers and a revolution in the management of hospitalization treatment centers through a non-centralized organization.}, Keywords = {care services providers, health and treatment networks, developing countries, bed services }, volume = {1}, Number = {1}, pages = {59-78}, publisher = {Iran University of Medical Sciences}, url = {http://jha.iums.ac.ir/article-1-248-en.html}, eprint = {http://jha.iums.ac.ir/article-1-248-en.pdf}, journal = {Journal of Health Administration}, issn = {2008-1200}, eissn = {2008-1219}, year = {1997} } @article{ author = {AsadiGorgani, F}, title = {Application of librarianship and medical information theses: an investigation of faculty of management and medical information}, abstract ={In the present study, we investigated the attitudes of supervisors, staff and individuals in charge of libraries of Tehran, Iran and Shahid Beheshti universities of medical sciences on the quality and quantity of use of 22 theses on librarianship and medical information course written by students of faculty of management and medical information proposed in years 1992-1993.
