Introduction : One of the recommended ways in organizing the information in the websites is the application of Meta Tags. The application of a variety of Meta Tags can affect the precision rate of search engines retrieval. They can also promote the rank of a website. The purpose of the study was to investigate the structure of libraries websites based on Meta Tags in medical science universities in Iran. Methods : This descriptive survey was carried out on 31 websites that included 342 web pages. Data was collected by a checklist and analyzed by SPSS. Results : Title meta tags (98.53%) and Charset meta tags (89.47%) among 15 meta tag types had the most usage and refresh meta tag had the least usage. Usage of keyword and descriptive meta tags were 55.6% and 55.2%, respectively. Generally, 100% websites under investigation used one type of meta tags. Conclusion : Title, Charest, Robot, Keyword and Descriptive meta tags received more attention from the designers of central libraries. But Googlebot, Refresh, Expire and cache Meta Tags received less attention. Librarians’ participation in creating library websites and the application of meta tags will play important role in electronic information retrieval.

Introduction: In spite of equal contribution of female and male faculty members to knowledge and expertise production, there is no equal access to managerial posts. The purpose of this study was to determine the present attitudes of female faculty towards the barriers to their promotion to managerial posts in ShahidSadoughi University of Medical Sciences (SSUMS ). Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted on female faculty in (SSUMS) in 2011. A standard questionnaire consisting of demographic questions and 37 questions about the barriers to the promotion of female faculty to managerial posts was used. Results: Overall 28% of women in this study had managerial positions at different levels. Among them, 44.4% were head of the departments. There was a significant correlation between managerial posts and job experience (p<0.05). Incorrect organizational structure, organizational culture and social factors were the main barriers to the promotion of women to managerial posts, however individual factors appeared to play no role in this regard. Conclusions: A few female faculties of (SSUMS) were engaged in managerial positions which might be due to incorrect organizational structure and social factors. The findings presented in this paper suggest that modification of promotion instructions based on competence and changes in organizational structure and culture may increase the engagement of female faculty in managerial posts. Introduction: Patients' perception of various aspects of health services could provide useful insights to improve health services. In the present study the technique of Choice- Based Conjoint Analysis (CBCA) was used to elicit patients’ views on desired attributes of outpatient services.
Methods: Five attributes related to outpatient services provided by hospital clinics, were surveyed. They included appointment making, waiting time, forming medical records, and presence of medical students and other patients in the examination room. There were 200 patients selected through convenient sampling method. Data were gathered via structured interviews and analyzed by logit regression model.
Results: The three main attributes preferred by respondents were: no presence of other patients (57%), appointment making (17%), and forming medical records (15%). The scenario with maximum utility consisted of the following: telephone appointments, having medical records, no presence of medical students and other patients in the examination room, and the maximum waiting time of half an hour.
Conclusion: The sequence of the priorities preferred by the outpatients was found to be firstly, examination by consultants in private, secondly, telephone appointments, and finally, formation of medical records. CBCA could be a potentially useful technique for eliciting the preferences of health service users.

Introduction: co-authorship network is composed of nodes and links. Social network analysis is utilized to detect patterns among these links. The purpose of this paper was to visualize co-authorship network of emergency medicine in 2001 - 2011. Methods: The present research focused on the social network analysis cluster . Data were downloaded from web of science according to subject and author searching. To determine citation patterns, we used two indicators named “Impact factor” and “number of citations”. Analysis of data was performed by using Histcite, the Pajek and Bibexcel software. Results: The results showed the ascending trend of emergency medicine papers between 2009 and 2011. The greatest international collaboration was in 2011with seven papers. There were 37 articles in 2011 and 84 citations in 2007. Co-authorship network of emergency medicine composed of seven clusters, while Co-authorship network of its specialists included 11 clusters. Discussion: E mergency medicine is an interdisciplinary field requiring the collaboration and knowledge sharing of emergency specialists with other researchers to play a major role in the improvement of this field.

Introduction: Abstract writing is one of the secondary services for summarizing the content of documents. It represents the major information and is used as an overview of the text. However, abstracts should be written and indexed on the basis of some criteria to provide sufficient and reliable information about the main text. This study aimed to assess the abstracts of Randomized Controlled Clinical Trials (RCTs) indexed in PubMed on the basis of the CONSORT abstract checklist. Methods: This was a descriptive cross-sectional survey. The study sample included 314 RCTs indexed in PubMed with the affiliation of Iran and Tehran University of Medical Sciences up to the end of 2010. The abstracts were evaluated by the CONSORT checklist in which the items were scored 0–8 . Results : The Mean score for quality was 4.7± 1.02 out of 8 . None of the abstracts were assigned as the most qualified (Score=8) and the highest score was 7. Among the RCT designs, parallel trial designs were the most common ones. Indications of the type of randomization, the blinding type, and the number of participants involved were found not to be well reported qualitatively. Conclusion: The findings indicated that the items designated for RCTs abstracts were not thoroughly taken into consideration. It seems that training of researchers and authors is required for betterment of the quality of reporting in abstracts. In addition, journal editors should provide guidelines for authors to report this type of studies correctly.

Introduction : Recently, companies have acknowledged organizational forgetting as a tool for optimizing organizational performance. The purpose of this research was to investigate the relationships among intentional organizational forgetting, organizational learning, knowledge management capability and organizational performance. Methods : In this survey, data collection was done by means of a questionnaire. The population included managers, vice-chancellors and supervisors of public and private hospitals in Mashhad. The evaluation of the model was performed by applying confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling. LIESREL software was employed for data analysis. Results : The results showed that intentional organizational forgetting and organizational learning had significant impact on organizational performance through enhancing knowledge management. Factor analysis showed a significant relationship between indicators and factors (p< 0.001). The results also revealed that organizational performance was mostly affected by the standard parameter, some indicators such as ignoring current knowledge, and replacing it with new knowledge from the very beginning using formal mechanisms for sharing experiences, applying appropriate processes to acquire new knowledge, and job satisfaction. Discussion: Research findings suggest that managers should enhance the knowledge management capacity to improve their organizational performance which could be achieved when learning processes are accomplished through intentional organizational forgetting.
